Sunset beach is on the north shore of Oahu. It’s about an hour drive from Waikiki. It’s a long stretch of beach with many surf spots. That’s why, during winter, there are lots of surf competitions. Banzai Pipeline, one of the most known surf spots is in Pūpūkea, which is on sunset beach.
During winter the waves can get up to 20, sometimes even 30 feet on the north shore.
